The Directorate of Income Intelligence (DRI) has seized over 1.5 kg of hashish, price over Rs 3 crore, and arrested 5 individuals in Chhattisgarh, an official stated on Wednesday.
A truck from Andhra Pradesh carrying the contraband was intercepted close to capital Raipur on the intervening night time of Sunday and Monday, when it was heading to Maharashtra, it stated.

The truck was carrying 1,534 kg of ganja (hashish), valued at Rs 3.07 crore, which was hid underneath natural fertilisers,” a launch issued by the DRI said.
“The truck was coming from Araku Valley of Andhra Pradesh and was being escorted by a pilot automobile. The consignment was being taken to Rahta in Maharashtra,” it stated.
A minimum of 5 members of the cartel have been arrested and additional investigation is underway, it was said.
