Congress slams Uttarakhand BJP chief’s ‘sexist comment’, seeks motion


The Congress on Tuesday accused Uttarakhand BJP president Bansidhar Bhagat of constructing sexist remarks and known as for disciplinary proceedings in opposition to him after a video emerged through which Bhagat purportedly known as Chief of Opposition Indira Hridayesh a “budhia” (previous lady).

“Our Chief of Opposition is saying that a number of MLAs are in contact along with her…arre budhia, tujhse kyun sampark karengey? (Why will they contact you, previous lady),” Bhagat is purportedly heard saying within the video.

The Uttarakhand BJP chief couldn’t be reached for remark. Nonetheless, the BJP’s state media in-charge Manveer Chauhan stated the video “could possibly be tampered with”.
