Chhattigarh: CAF jawan injured in strain IED blast by Naxals

A Chhattisgarh Armed Power (CAF) jawan was on Wednesday injured when a strain improvised explosive gadget (IED), planted by Naxals, exploded whereas it was being defused by safety personnel in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, police mentioned.

The incident occurred round 8.20 am within the forest close to Pusnar village below Gangaloor police station space when separate joint groups of safety forces have been out on a highway safety and space domination operation, a police official mentioned.

The personnel belonging to the District Reserve Guard (DRG), CAF and Central Reserve Police Power (CRPF) have been concerned within the operation, he mentioned.
