Madhya Pradesh govt units up ‘gau cupboard’, first meet of 6 depts on Nov 22

THE BJP authorities in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday introduced structure of a “gau cupboard” (cow cupboard), which may have ministers of six departments who will work in direction of safety of cows and promotion of cow produce within the state.

Making the announcement, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated the primary assembly of the gau cupboard shall be held on November 22, on the eve of Gopastami, a pageant to have fun Lord Krishna and cows. Will probably be held at Kaamdhenu Gau Abhyaaran, a 473-acre cow sanctuary in Salariya village of Agar Malwa, the muse stone for which was laid by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in 2012.

Within the first assembly, ministers answerable for Animal Husbandry, Panchayat and Rural Growth, Forest, Income, House and Farmers’ Welfare departments will talk about the modalities of the work and scope of the brand new project.

The current allocation for animal husbandry is Rs 919 crore, forest division Rs 2,698 crore, panchayat and rural improvement Rs 11,731 crore, dwelling division Rs 7,040 crore whereas farmers’ welfare division is Rs 10,630 crore.

The gau cupboard is being constituted to make sure swift selections in issues regarding safety of cows.

State Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel stated 4,000 gaushalas shall be constructed this yr.

State BJP president V D Sharma stated that whereas Panchayat and Rural Growth will implement the schemes rolled out by the state authorities, the Forest and Income departments will make obtainable the land for establishing the gaushalas and cow sanctuaries. The House division will cope with issues regarding cow safety, he stated.
