Reopening locations of worship in Maharashtra not anybody’s win or defeat: Sanjay Raut

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday mentioned the Maharashtra authorities’s determination to reopen places of religious worship within the state was neither a victory nor defeat of anyone.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday introduced that locations of non secular worship in Maharashtra, which have been shut for the reason that COVID-19 lockdown in March, will reopen from Monday.

As per the Customary Working Procedures (SOPs) launched by the state authorities, spiritual locations situated out of COVID-19 containment zones will likely be allowed to stay open as per the timings determined by authorities, and devotees will likely be allowed inside in a staggered method.

“The SOPs drafted by the federal government have to be adopted strictly. There isn’t a have to take credit score. It was God’s will that folks keep at house, and now it’s God’s will that locations of worship reopen with precautions,” Raut mentioned.

To a query on the BJP saying that reopening of temples was a victory of Hindutva, he mentioned not simply temples, all locations of worship will open. “This isn’t a victory or defeat of anyone,” Raut mentioned.

They have been closed on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s directions, the Shiv Sena’s chief spokesperson mentioned.

Requested about his sixtieth birthday on Sunday, the Rajya Sabha member mentioned, “I’ve spent half of my life in ‘Saamana’ (Sena’s mouthpiece), the power of the Shiv Sena, and can proceed to take action.”

Raut is at the moment the manager editor of ‘Saamana’. Earlier, on Saturday, when requested about Barack Obama’s feedback on Congress chief Rahul Gandhi within the former US president’s new guide, Raut advised reporters that “overseas leaders can’t touch upon politicians of our nation”.
