Legendary Sachin Tendulkar and World T20 winner Irfan Pathan hailed the 19 Rashtriya Rifles of the Indian Military’s Northern Command for efficiently organising a Ladies’s Cricket League in Dooru City of Anantnag district.
NGO Aseem Basis partnered with the Indian Military which was held with an intention to advertise ladies’s cricket and re-energising the sports activities actions in Jammu & Kashmir, stagnant for nearly six months because of the COVID-forced lockdown.
“It was a knockout league, during which 4 groups hailing from Dooru, Anantnag and Kulgam participated. League matches had been held on October 14 whereas the ultimate was performed on Wednesday. In complete, over 70 ladies participated within the video games,” a press launch said.
