With cricket bat, bowler and beer, Londoners arrange an impromptu recreation of evening cricket on the excessive avenue in Peckham this week as fatigue and frustration with the British authorities’s lockdown guidelines rise.

Revellers lined the road as a batsman earlier than what seems to be a cardboard field confronted a bowler racing down the road. The batsman cracks the ball with a lower shot to cheers whereas some spill beer and smile.

The footage right here was taken on Saturday evening by filmmaker James Jones, who mentioned he had filmed it at round 10:20 p.m., shortly after pubs are required to shut below the federal government’s lockdown guidelines. Few within the crowd are social distancing and just some have a masks on.
